What is Hand Therapy ?

Hand therapy is treatment of the shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, and hands which certified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists administer following international protocols.

Mainland Hand Therapy therapists require 11 years of education and training to become Certified Hand Therapists.

Treatment may include wound and suture care, scar management, custom braces, mobilization, strengthening, and assistance with insurance company liaison.

Communication with physicians, plastic surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and neurologists is common. These doctors rely on their patients post-operative care to be handled by highly skilled therapists at Mainland Hand Therapy.
